Atlas Orthogonal Provides Real Headache Solutions
Dr. Jonathon was born and raised in Birmingham, Alabama. He graduated from Auburn University with a BS in Engineering and then proceeded to spend several years studying and researching medical microbiology and cell biology. As a life-long headache sufferer, he was introduced to Atlas Orthogonal Chiropractic by his wife. From that moment forward it has been his passion to help those with head and neck pain improve the quality of their lives. He is co-developer of the Douglas Method, a 3 step approach that is clinically proven to help 70-80% of headache and neck pain sufferers. Dr. Jonathon graduated from Western States Chiropractic College in 2004.
Dr. Tara grew up in Sylacauga, Alabama. She graduated from Auburn University with a BS in Chemistry and worked for several years as a research chemist in Columbus, GA. After suffering a sports injury and getting no relief from traditional medicine, she tried chiropractic for the first time. She was so impressed with the results that she returned to school to become a Doctor of Chiropractic and graduated from Western States Chiropractic College in 2004 with honors. Dr. Tara participated in an integrated medicine clinic at Oregon Health Sciences University and currently lectures in the area on headaches and neck pain. She received her Board Certification in Atlas Orthogonal Technique in 2007 and her certification in animal adjusting in 2006. Dr. Tara is an active volunteer for the YWCA and YW Housing, and she also volunteers her services at animal shelters in the area.
Dan started his work in natural health in 1991. He graduated from the bodywork program at Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health (http://www.kripalu.org/)and later returned yearly to teach bodywork and energy balancing. He went into private practice in rural Pennsylvania and pioneered massage in that area. He lectured on acupressure and energy work at health expos and hospitals and eventually worked with the Horizon Hospital System. During that time he also taught yoga and meditation and gave herbal workshops. For his work in holistic health, Dan has been featured on television, radio, and in print.
In 2002 Dan graduated from the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine with a Masters in Acupuncture and a Masters in Oriental Herbal Medicine. He then went on to study Internal Medicine and Cancer treatments at the University Hospital of Nanjing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Nanjing, China. He received a certificate from the World Health Organization for his work there.
Dan has also had additional specialized training in pain relief, addiction treatments, pediatrics, herbal alternatives for pharmaceuticals, allergies, and injury treatment (with Whitfield Reeves, acupuncturist for the Olympic team). Dan is certified to teach many styles of Qi Gong, a Chinese healing exercise, Including Soaring Crane style know for its anti-cancer effects.
Erin was born and raised in Parker, Colorado. She and her husband always wanted to live in the PNW, and were fortunate enough to make that dream happen. Erin is the clinic's certified X-Ray Technician and enjoys her work. She also suffers from headaches and continues to be amazed by her personal results with Atlas Orthogonal. When you make a call or walk through the front door Erin is the first voice or smiling face you will hear or see.
